THE SHORT VERSION

Play the game.
Understand the extra layer.

In an online casino tournament, eligible play contributes to a leaderboard. The game still has its own outcome; the tournament adds a separate score and prize structure. A slot win might count by its size relative to the bet, while another race counts the total amount wagered.

That difference is the starting point. Before looking at the headline prize, check the scoring method, the eligible games and the qualification rules. Then look at how long the event runs and how far down the board the prizes reach.

How casino tournaments work
TRY THE SCORING

Same rounds.
Different winner.

A tournament’s formula changes what counts. Switch between these two methods to see why the rules matter.

Illustrative rounds only. This is a scoring example, not a prediction or a real leaderboard.

THREE EXAMPLE ROUNDSPOINTS
Player A12× · 8× · 60×
60 pts
Player B35× · 32× · 28×
35 pts

Player A leads: one 60× result beats Player B’s best result of 35×.

01

What counts?

Highest multiplier, cumulative results and turnover reward different patterns of play. Check qualifying rounds, caps and tie-breakers before comparing the totals.

02

Who can enter?

An invitation, VIP tier or minimum qualifying bet can change whether an event suits you. VIP tournaments deserve the same close reading as an open leaderboard.

03

How are prizes shared?

A large pool may cover several stages or casinos. Read the payout table and the scope of a shared prize pool, rather than treating the banner amount as one event’s award.

Timing changes the commitment. Explore shorter rounds, weekly series and monthly competitions with the entry window and scoring period in view.

LOOK BEHIND THE LOBBY

One series can appear
at more than one casino.

Provider tournaments can connect play across participating casinos. If the leaderboard is shared, changing casino does not create a smaller competitive field. The important differences may instead be eligibility, available games or casino-specific conditions.

Our Pragmatic Play Drops & Wins guide explains the series structure. You can also explore Playson tournament formats and the distinction between prize drops and ranked competitions.

Q&A
Do I enter a tournament on Tournivio?

No. Tournivio helps you understand formats and compare tournament information. Entry, gameplay, account decisions and prizes are handled by the casino running or hosting the event.

Does a bigger bet always produce a higher tournament score?

No single rule applies to every event. Turnover races count qualifying wagering, while multiplier-based contests use a result relative to the stake. Caps, counted rounds and other conditions can still change the calculation. See the scoring guide for worked examples.

Is a VIP tournament the same as a high-roller tournament?

Not necessarily. VIP describes an access condition, such as a tier or invitation. High-roller describes a high-stakes event or intended audience. An event can have both features, but one label does not establish the other.

Can the same tournament run at several casinos?

Yes, a provider-network event can have multiple participating casinos. Check whether they share the same leaderboard and pool. Our shared-pool guide explains how to read that information.
